Estate Planning Assistant and Guardian Program Administrator

Relational Estate & Elder Law, PLC is looking for an Estate Planning Assistant and Guardian Program Administrator to join our growing team. The estate planning assistant ensures that estate planning matters are processed correctly and promptly. They also oversee the clients enrolled in our Guardian Program, which is a subscription service designed to keep estate plans up-to-date as the law and our clients’ lives change. Our clients are worried about their families and futures, and this position will help further our mission of providing them with hope and peace of mind through Relational Estate Planning®. This position is primarily for our Winchester location, although occasional days in our Ashburn office may be required. This is an entry level position, meaning no prior legal experience is necessary, and there is opportunity for advancement and growth as our firm grows.

Estate Planning Job Responsibilities

  • Draft Estate Planning Documents
  • Draft Deeds
  • Revise Estate Planning Documents
  • Attend and document Estate Planning document review client meetings/calls (“own” follow-up and next steps) when assigned
  • Attend and document Trust Funding Follow-up Calls when assigned
  • Attend Friday morning Team Discussions for Set Up EP Matter process
  • Prepare estate documents for client execution for both Winchester and Ashburn when assigned
  • Participate as a witness in weekly Winchester signings (Backup witness for Ashburn signings when assigned)
  • Answer phone during assigned time periods and when needed as a backup in a professional and courteous manner and accurately implement intake process when applicable

Guardian Administrator Job Responsibilities

Stage 1

  • Prepare documents for Guardian Meetings under supervision
  • Observe Guardian Meetings
  • Prepare Guardian Meeting follow-up documents under supervision o Attend internal Guardian Admin Team meetings

Stage 2

  • Schedule Guardian Meetings
  • Revise Estate Planning documents as needed for Guardian Clients
  • Lead on pre and post Meeting documents
  • Manage all correspondence and communications related to the Guardian
    Program
  • Manage the agenda and notes for and schedule internal Guardian Admin
    Team meetings

Stage 3

  • Lead Paralegal on Guardian Meetings
  • Manage revisions to the Guardian Program Processes under approval from
    the Director of Operations
