Hi, I’m Heather!
As one of the attorneys here at Relational Estate & Elder Law, I am so thankful to be in a position that allows me to help individuals and families navigate the estate planning process with clarity and confidence. My passion for estate planning comes from my love of problem-solving and connecting with people in meaningful ways. I truly believe that estate planning can and should be an empowering experience as a final expression of love and support for the loved ones we leave behind.
Before turning my practice to estate planning, I spent time as a design and production engineer with Orbital ATK (now Northrop Grumman) and as a tech-focused patent litigator with two of the nation’s top law firms. This work taught me how to take complex technical concepts and present them in a way that business management, a judge, or a jury would understand. At the same time, these experiences brought me face-to-face with what my priorities really are: taking care of and being present with the people (and pets!) in my life. Now, it’s a privilege for me to spend my days helping our clients do the same.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my family and my animals! I have a deep love for horses and have been riding since I was five. Currently, I share my life with my field lab, Lottie, and my three beloved cats: Frank, Gladys, and Herbert.
